There are so many people I know who constantly tell me, "I would work out if only I had the time." This used to be my excuse, too. And I felt like it was a good one. But recently, I've changed my tune. I no longer tell myself, "I have no time to work out. I'm a homeschool mom!" Instead I use the phrase, "I have to work out. I'm a homeschool mom!"
So late in July, I started working out regularly. At first, it was pretty easy. Turbo Fire Workout Video I'm not saying the work outs were easy... they were really tough! But I am saying that it was pretty easy to get myself downstairs to do the work outs, because it was still summer and our schedule was still pretty free. I managed to get myself into the habit of working out, before the homeschool schedule started to put the squeeze on my time.
For the first few weeks of the homeschool year, I forced myself to wake up at 6am, so that I could get my work out in before my role as homeschool mom started for the day. It wasn't easy pulling myself out of that nice, warm, comfortable bed. And if you don't know me, you don't realize that I am definitely NOT a morning person! But I had made a commitment, and I had already started feeling the great results of more energy that had resulted from the month of exercise I had completed.
That getting up in the morning was a great schedule, but didn't seem to work this past week. My now 6 month old, has gotten into a weird sleeping schedule lately. He wakes up around midnight and stays wide awake for about 2 to 3 hours. Not good for the mommy who's trying to get some well-earned shut-eye!
It would be super easy for me to say, "Oh, well, I guess I can't get up and work out today." But, because of my new motto of "I have to workout. Turbo Fire Wholesale I'm a homeschool mom!" I have been able to keep my commitment to exercise. If I decide to sleep in until 8am (or sometimes even 9am!) then I just make the time to work out in the afternoon after all my kids have finished their schoolwork and I have put my homeschool mom role back on the shelf for the day.
If you are having trouble keeping an exercise schedule and find you are giving yourself the excuse of no time to work out, think again. If a homeschool mom of four, with a 6 month old baby can do it, so can you!
